Everything you need to know before, during, and after submitting your application.

Registration Guidelines

  • Each team can have a maximum of 3 student members and a mentor (optional)
  • Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Registration: 28th July 2026 - 16th August 2026

Before You Submit

  • Ensure all team member details are accurate
  • Double-check your contact information
  • Review your SDG theme selection
  • Proofread your idea description
  • Verify team composition meets requirements

After Registration

  • You will receive a confirmation email if your team is shortlisted.
  • If selected, your team will be required to pay a registration fee of ₹500 per team.
  • You will receive competition updates and important announcements.

Rules & Guidelines

Team Size

Maximum 3 members per team. Cross-institution teams are permitted.

Registration

Team leaders are required to complete registration for all team members.

Registration Fee

Selected teams will pay ₹500 per team at the time of registration.

Original Prototype

Only original, previously unpublished prototypes are allowed. Plagiarism results in disqualification.

Reporting Time

Teams must report on time as per the published schedule on both days.

06

Judges' Decision

The decision of the jury will be final and binding.

07

Event Schedule

Participants must respect the event schedule and instructions of the organizers.

Certificates

Certificates will be provided to all eligible participants.

UDAAN 2026 is the National Startup & Business Model Competition organized by the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), Heritage Institute of Technology. Building on the success of previous editions, UDAAN has evolved from an state competition into a national platform where innovators, entrepreneurs, and future leaders come together to present transformative ideas and impactful business models.

Inter-Institution Competition

UDAAN began as an inter-institutional startup and business model competition, encouraging students to present innovative ideas, develop entrepreneurial thinking, and collaborate with peers from different institutions.

2026

National Level Competition

UDAAN 2026 expands onto the national stage, welcoming innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs from institutions across India to compete, collaborate, and showcase groundbreaking startup ideas and business models.
